Macro Lens Flare with Flash?

Does anyone have experience with the older popular macros like the Vivitar Series 1 105mm and the Tamron 90mm F2.5 (2:1) and the later F2.8 (1:1)? I'm curious how bad lens flare is with aggressive flash on these older macros compared to the Pentax D-FA/FA/A 100mm macro.

The older ones can sometimes exhibit some flare. "How bad?" Not very much. In general nothing. Sometimes bad enough.

The new Tamron 90/2.8 ... ... Di doesn't flare. Compared to the FA and A it flares less... And it is better than the DFA in other aspects, imo.
