I need a new dream... so why not...

you have $1500 limit to spend on a lens... it have to be a K mount and it have to be AF lens

preferably btw the 50mm to 200mm

I am about to get the 77mm but just for fun I would like to know your opinions

Only 2 out of 4 responses actually fit the constraints... guess nobody likes to follow the rules.

I'd probably get a macro prime of some sort, though off the top of my head I don't think any of those come close to $1500. DA* 200 or 60-250 would probably come the closest to breaking the bank.

Easily either the 100-300/4 of the 60-250/4. The 60-250 is smaller and lighter, and sealed, but more expensive. I can't wait to have one with the K-7, awesome for videos too with the SDM.

The 50-135 is a fantastic portrait lens too so that can make your decision harder. But I've got the DA70 for my portraits.

It's got to be the DA*60-250 f4. I have got one of these it is an awesome lens. I'm just itching to get the chance to try it out at a sporting event.

To fit the criteria you set down I would say either the FA 77 Limted or the DA* 50-135... but I have both of them.

To go outside the box I would then say the DA*60-250 f4

ok LBA is back at normal high... 60-250 sound like such a fun lens!!
also the 50-135

but I will get the 77mmm first .. as it small and perfect to what I do.

12-24 f4 - this lens looks really fun for 12-18mm shooting and I would love to give wide a try

sadly I cant get the FA 31 for 1500 dollar here, and not the 60-250, DA 200, DA 300.
I could just squeeze in a FA 77 or the 50-135, but that one I got already.
So I go for FA 77 then.
