Voigtlander 125 and lens creep if used vertically?

Perhaps the answer is a simple "nothing to worry about"...

I have started to use a voigtlander 125 (essentially a brand new copy), with a copypod, i.e. a tripod you mount to the filter thread so your camera is pointing straight down, normally used for copying flat print / artwork.

I've found, in one evening of use, that the CV shows absolutely no barrel creep while mounted this way, with the weight of the K20D on top.

Am I OK to use it this way for many hours to come? I have probably thousands of pictures to take this way?

Any reasons to be worried about barrel creep setting in later? Would be a terrible thing to do to this jewel...

Thank you for any ideas / pointers.

Couldn't you use a normal tripod "looking down"?
The Voigtländer 125 is not something I would take chances on.
