its pathetic to say the least that the website is still up. the BBB and NY state, have been more than pathetic about taking care of this for several years now. even after a documentary aired on television. that website is just another classic NY based bait and switch scam operation.

Hmm...had it, sold it, regret it... Sharper then DA21, BUT with a boké that was too busy for my taste, which made me sell it. The DA21 is so much better in that department.

I have a copy of this lens. It's about the same size as the FA 50mm f/1.4 (but with a larger filter size) and a little bit heavier. I haven't shot any brick walls with it, but I cannot fault the IQ. I've used it both on film and digital with good results.

It took me a long time to find a copy, so unless I find myself in financial difficulties I will try not to sell it.

Oh, back when I bought it, it was cheaper than the SMC-A 20mm f/2.8. I suppose people prefer build over auto-focus

redpigeons if you're looking for a short Full Frame (=no vignetting) wideangle lens, you might want to consider the M 20/4. Of course, it neither is f/2.8 nor AF ... but certainly cheaper than both of FA 20 and DA 21

I had a copy of the FA 24 but it was terrible. Bought it second hand at Henry's of Canada and immediately returned it (had no problem with the return) I think it got banged around a bit at one point or another. Massive decentering and terrible terrible bokeh and it couldn't close focus. So I got the Sigma 24 F1.4 instead and have been very happy with it. But I like the FA 20 mm so much better, as it is much much smaller and the ergonimics are better and it's mostly sharper. The Sigma is a better low light lens tho.

NaCl(would be loath to part with either, but certainly the 24 before the 20)H2O
