its pathetic to say the least that the website is still up. the BBB and NY state, have been more than pathetic about taking care of this for several years now. even after a documentary aired on television. that website is just another classic NY based bait and switch scam operation.

Hmm...had it, sold it, regret it... Sharper then DA21, BUT with a boké that was too busy for my taste, which made me sell it. The DA21 is so much better in that department.

on the other end with my luck if I will keep buying FF lenses Pentax will announce that they are sticking with APS-C to the bitter end of bankruptcy
Please buy a DA lens redpigeons

The DA21Ltd is very good. Really :ugh:

I have a copy of this lens. It's about the same size as the FA 50mm f/1.4 (but with a larger filter size) and a little bit heavier. I haven't shot any brick walls with it, but I cannot fault the IQ. I've used it both on film and digital with good results.

It took me a long time to find a copy, so unless I find myself in financial difficulties I will try not to sell it.

Oh, back when I bought it, it was cheaper than the SMC-A 20mm f/2.8. I suppose people prefer build over auto-focus

Creampuff, I have both the FA 20mm F2.8 and the FA 20-35mm F4 zoom and I have to disagree with you about stopping down to f4. I've found my copy to be pretty sharp at F2.8. I don't own the DA 21mm so I cannot comment on focus speed, but I manually focus most of the time anyway so that is not a big point with me. What I really like about the FA 20mm F2.8 is color rendition, nice creamy bokeh, the complete lack of any distortion, it balances perfectly on both the K10D and K20D, and it's both very sharp and moderately fast.
The FA 20-35 is almost a perfect garden lens, excellent color rendition, good close focus capability, and perfect zoom range. The downsides are not as good bokeh as the 20mm and F4.
Unfortunately I am at work so cannot provide samples at this point, I'll post some tonight to prove my points.

NaCl(I'll rate the FA 20mm F2.8 right up there with my 43 and 77 ltds)H2O
Why did you get FA 20 and not FA 24 ?

PLEASE SELL IT TO ME IF YOU HAVE IT!! I've looked every where!!

Edit:PS.. its the FA 20mm f/2.8 (but if you don't know that you cant really help me any way )
redpigeons if you're looking for a short Full Frame (=no vignetting) wideangle lens, you might want to consider the M 20/4. Of course, it neither is f/2.8 nor AF ... but certainly cheaper than both of FA 20 and DA 21

I had a copy of the FA 24 but it was terrible. Bought it second hand at Henry's of Canada and immediately returned it (had no problem with the return) I think it got banged around a bit at one point or another. Massive decentering and terrible terrible bokeh and it couldn't close focus. So I got the Sigma 24 F1.4 instead and have been very happy with it. But I like the FA 20 mm so much better, as it is much much smaller and the ergonimics are better and it's mostly sharper. The Sigma is a better low light lens tho.

NaCl(would be loath to part with either, but certainly the 24 before the 20)H2O
