Takumar / Asahi opitcal 135mm f2.8 ??

I came across this lens at a local camera shop -- I cannot find any info on it. Do any of you guys know anything about this lens? All it says on the side of the lens barrel is "Takumar", it is stamped Asahi Opitcal in very small engraved type on the side barrel by the aperature. The front of the lens where the filters screw-in has no markings what so ever, i.e. no SMC or Super Tak --- the only mention is on the side of the front barrel Takumar. I believe it is f2.8 instead of f2.5. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Pentax made a few non-SMC lenses and this is one of them. It is 4 elements in 4 groups and is considered to be a mediocre lens.

It is this lens:

Pentax Lens Review Database - 135mm F2.8 Bayonet

It's less common than the otherwise similar f2.5 version, but performance sounds about the same. I wouldn't pay more than $25, but depending on what you already have it might be worth a try.

thanks you guys for the info - I actually already have the 135mm f3.5 and I think I will pass on the 2.8 ( even though it is only $30 )
