Can Sigma OS lens be used with SR?

I mean, can I switch on OS on the lens and SR in the camera the same time? In this case, the bonus on the shutter speed is

OS: 4 steps
SR: 4 steps.

OS+SR=8 steps!

Sigma 50-200 OS HSM

Sigma dont make any OS lens with pentax mount at all. so you can just use the in camera SR system

very cheap.

I wonder whether Pentax camera has the automatic switch. When I open the OS in lens, can it shut down SR automaticlly? Or manually? Is there any harzard for forgetting to turn off the SR?

The new sigma 18-250 OS HSM has a switch on the lens and cant be used at the same time as SR.
So you can pay $100 more than the pentax/tamron to get something you don't need. some people do like the stabilized view though even if it drains the batteries more than SR.

not sure if it is in the latest "Popular Photography" or "Shutterbug" but there is a lens review and they comment that for pentax and other sensor based stabalization system users, they now have the option of sensor based or lens based, with the bnenefit of lens based systems being the stabalized viewfinder

I'd rather see the shake if it's there. It's a reminder to check my posture, brace myself and minimize the movement.
