what's wrong with this pic

Hi,
Finaly figured it out...
I've seen this pic of the black 31ltd many times on many pages, and I always thought there's something wrong with it. Now I figured it out. Do you know what I mean??

Pentax have been using this freaking pic for many years (and the silver version too). I wonder why.

The hood petals are not where they should be. They probably decided that would better show the lens than blocking the glass or moving the focus scale sideways out of view.

maybe they are selling a version of the FA31 with the hood in a different orientation to provide better flare protection when shooting portraits....it makes for an annoying lens change when you want to shoot landscape. :-P

That's it. The edge of the glass furthest from the viewer is too high
