What is your opinion of the Sigma 50-500 EX ?

I am interested in the APO 50-500mm F4-6.3 EX DG for wildlife and sports shooting, what do peoplee think of this lens? Any owners, opinions etc?

Are there any other competitors around with this quality and flexibility?

Pros, Cons would be appreciated

Great thanks, tried it out today... heavier than I thought it would be, but does a fine job for the price alright. Now have to decide....
