Christmas in July :) - Mucho Gloat

Yes, it really is Christmas

Just added to my collection:

- LX body
- Winder LX
- FA-1 Finder
- FB-1/FC-1 Finder (I wish all DSLRs to have something like this)
- AF280T flash with wide-angle and tele adapters
- Pentax-A* 300mm 1:4
- Pentax-A* 85mm 1:1.4
- Pentax-M 200mm 1:4
- Pentax-M 135mm 1:3.5
- Pentax-M 100mm 1:4 Macro
- Pentax-M 24mm 1:2.8
- Pentax-F 1.7X AF Adapter

Now I have to go home and beg my boss, uh, I mean, wife, for forgiveness

Are you shitting me?!

That's some serious equipment. Hope you didn't go too broke...

You'll probably have a lot of fun with all that, great set-up. Drooling especially much over one of the lenses, anyone want to take a guess?

Nice haul. Was this all a sigle purchase as a lot, or did you get them all seperately? I imagine it was as a single lot.

We're definitely green w envy. Hopefully it didn't cost you too much. I find that I'm asking for forgiveness from my CFO more often now that I'm on this forum. If you decide to fund the 'forgiveness' with the items I've put in bold - let me know.
...pretty pls.

I might not be current on prices, but anything less than $3000 would be a great bargain. I wonder what the previous owner used the F 1.7 AFA for?

"Hope you didn't go too broke..."

No, fortunately I didn't go too broke. I guess asking for forgiveness won't be too difficult.

"Drooling especially much over one of the lenses, anyone want to take a guess?"

Pentax-A* 85mm 1:1.4?

I'd been wanting an 85mm for so long. I previously found a Super-Takumar 85mm F/1.9 in great shape but the guy wanted $280 and I couldn't justify that. I'm currently using a Nikkor-F 85mm F/1.8.

"Was this all a sigle purchase as a lot, or did you get them all seperately?"

It was just one lot. The equipment belonged to the late father of the seller and had been sitting in the closet for quite some time. Fortunately, thanks to CA's dry climate, there is no fungus.

"Where's the body buried?"

What body? The LX is in the photo.

Edited to add: Ah, now I got it . Sorry for my slowness. I still haven't recovered from the shock yet. End edited.

There is actually another camera, an SF10 with a Pentax-F 35-70mm lens in the deal. But they were in a different bag in my car and I was too lazy to fetch it just for the photo.

"anything less than $3000 would be a great bargain"

Let's say that it's somewhere between the price of a used K10D and a used K20D

"I wonder what the previous owner used the F 1.7 AFA for"

For the SF10 body.

Please let me know how your new 85 compares to the Nikkor, and how the Nikkor holds up in comparison. I have been eyeing some of those old Non-AI Nikkor 85's for a while until I can afford something better . . . like an SMC Tak 85/1.8.
