SMC Pentax 1000mm F8 Lens - eBay Film Camera Lenses, Lenses, Photographic Accessories, Cameras. (end time 23-Jul-09 19:17:16 AEST)

This one on ebay is going for a bargain $850AUD...

I've only ever seen one of these on ebay before and it went for plenty of $$...perhaps a good chance for someone to get a rare and really cool lens!

I'm going to have to wait for payday before I start bidding on that. It would be a very nice addition to my lens collection and I guessing that your not going to loss any money if you sell it on.

The shipping costs will kill you if the buyer lives outside Australia.

The devil got to me so I opened bidding, I'm sure I'm in for a trouncing soon enough, if not I can live with my max bid.
Best get the missus off to the gym just in case I win because I'm going to need someone to carry this sucker.

Um looks like I'm the proud owner of one very long lens. And I was only popping in a not too interested bid expecting a trouncing. OOPS

I'll be waiting for the inevitable question..."Hi. Do you know how to permanently adapt this to Canon mount?"

Can't see me asking how to adapt it to Canon, no Canons living here and I have the genuine M42 mount so it will play happilyon my Pentax K20D.

Expect this lens to be listed in the not too distant future. It was returned to the seller for a full refund because of gross inaccuracies in the description. Fungus only on the front element turned out to be right through the lens and there was no way of being sure that it would be in a usable state after repairs.
Paypal dispute resolution had to be invoked. So beware if anyone sees it they are potentially bidding on a 5.5kg door stop.

And his rating, if it was as described it would have been an ok buy, and I was expecting issues which have been sorted.
