Arguably, the best lens ever produced:

Pentax 43/1.9 Limited
Many would argue if that's the best ever produced...
generaly 77 & 31 are considered better.

I want to say FA 20mm 2.8 BC its my new lens and I am in love

but then what would I do with out my 31mm, 77mm

I also LOVE the F 50mm 1.7 BC it was $150 yet its really not far behind the LTDs

but I can tell you that is you right now have a budget for only one lens get a normal lens. on APC-s it will be the 31mm, or the 40mm or the 43, or the 35mm something in that range pick you poison

31mm Ltd or FA* 85mm
I would buy a house next to Votesh first, then if he chose the 31 I'd get the 85 or vice versa.
Then we work out a roster

For me it'd be either the FA 35 or the 77 LTD.

When I still shot film, I used the Super Takumar 50mm F1.4 for well over 80% of my pictures and that for over 30 years.

So on digital I would choose the FA 31mm F1.8 Ltd.

I guess I'm stuck .

This is a really easy question.

K20D- sigma 105mm
K200d- DA 35mm
MZ-3- FA 50mm f1.4
K2- M 50mm f1.4
K2- SP 180mm f2.5
SuperProgram- A 400mm f5.6
Spot F- SMC 55mm f1.8
SV (late)- Super Tak 50mm f1.4
H3- auto-tak 55mm f1.8
H3- auto-tak 35mm
K- Zebra 55mm f1.8
K1000- M 50mm f1.7
ME F- Tamron 24mm
6x7- SMC Tak 75mm

Plus the setup in my avatar.

Edit: Having seen this question several times, I have worked out an viable answer better than rams solution. That way the wife or gf can kill you.

Hahaha. If this scenario were a reality I'm sure there would be communities of Pentax users popping up all over the place to start lens sharing programs.

2 weeks ago i would say the DA 35 Ltd Macro... But now I recently got the DA*55 and im pretty much stunned about the sharpness from it.

So I am confused to what lens to chose!!

Ah well, voigtlander isnt a pentax prime lens. So I could go voigtlander 58 and keep my voigtlander 180 and get the voigtlander 125. So I say Pentax DA 35 Ltd Macro even tho this is a cruel thread with a cruel subject

FA 43/1.9 LTD, absolutely no question about it, none of my other lenses even comes close, including the FA77.

Either the DA 35 or the DA 40, depending on how close to my subject I want to get.

DA 35mm Ltd.

If we're talking about Pentax DSLRs it would have to be the DA 35mm Ltd. Beautiful workmanship, perfect size & weight, great color & contrast, renders beautifully, great bokeh and doubles as both an all around "nornal" lens and a Macro! What more do you need? Well, I must admit, somehow I've managed to get 8 other Pentax lenses that I just needed!
