I don't have any first hand experiences with either, and don't know anything about the 24-50. But it's constant aperture zoom, though with limited range for these days.
the 70-210 has quite decent reputation, I nearly bought one myself, but it had funghi.
There are quite a few member really happy with this lens.
for more info check the Pentax lens database, there are some reviews.

The F24-50/4 shares the same optical design as the A. Optically they are okay if not the best. If the F70-210 is the SMC version, it is the best consumer tele-zoom within the entire F/FA series. Both lenses were on the expensive side back then.

The F 24-50 is a very excellent performer. I think the limited zoom range makes for less distortion especially as 24mm. Overall has great color, contrast and sharpness.

Yeah I really like the F 24-50 zoom. It isn't as sharp as a prime, but it does well over a very useful range. I think they usually run about $150 in good shape, but who knows.

I have the SMC F 70-210 and it is a very good lens. Get a lens hood for it and you won't be disappointed. Here are some pics I took with mine

Value depends on the condition of the lens. Do a search on the forums and see what they have been going for.

Have a good one.
