120/2.8 SMC Takumar samples?

Has anyone got any sample images with this lens? It's rather rare, and I have not seen many images shot with it...

Pbase (for example) only lists the M version, I'm not sure if it's the same.

Yes, it is. All I can tell you is, the Super-Multi-Coated Takumar version appears to be the same as the SMC Pentax ("K") version, with 6 aperture blades. The Pentax-M has a different optical formula and 8 aperture blades. The Pentax-M formula looks a lot like the formula for the Pentax-M 135mm f3.5 - I don't know whether that means similar performance.

SMC Takumar 120mm 2.8

I bought one back in the 1980's and it was quite hard to find then.
I still have the lens but haven't used it for some years.
I've never come across another one but surely they must exist somewhere.
There must be a way to find out how many were produced.
From what I remember, it was a lens you could use indoors, wide open (or thereabouts).
In terms of results, the only other lens which I have used that's something like it, is the early Nikkor 105mm 2.5.
Now this is a seriously sharp leans.
I shot a roll of 400ASA Fuji colour film using this lens and some of the shots were enlarged to beyond A3 size.
I was staggered to see such detail.
Details of skin pores is not always an attractive sight.
I know now why some photographers used a stocking over a lens when taking portraits, particularly if they wanted to flatter the sitter.
