Do you name your lenses like you name your kids????..I do

I only have a few lenses but they all have a name.
My Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 is called 'Ruby' (she is so sweet)
My DA 40 limited is called 'Charlie'.
My DA 12-24mm is 'Fat Albert'
and my M50 f2 is called 'Pop' due to his age.

How about you guys???...or am I just eccentric?

I'm surprised you didn't name your DA 40 "Aunt Jemima"

Oh dear, you're giving them names - now you're going to get attached to them...
Don't let them take your attention above your kids!

only name I ever give mine is "You Bastard" when I miss a shot. Usually reserved for the DA*16-50mm and it's (shall we say) "unique" focusing qualities.

You name your kids? Don't you think that's a little self indulgent?

well, my wife thinks I'm cray enough just to buy all the lenses. Now if I'd start giving them names, I'd really have hard times explaining my sanity...

First pancake premix, 1889, syrup for pancakes, pancakes in general. You could have Aunt Jemima (40mm) , Mrs Butterworth (70mm), and Hungry Jack (21mm). I suppose you then name your camera Piggy Wiggy. Might as well name your bag, Waffle House

Thank you
Russell

Well they do say, "you dont have to be mad to be a photographer, but it helps"

Unique I have to say.
I starting doing that and my family would say I am one sandwich short of a picnic.

I've always said, "if we weren't crazy we'd all go nuts."
