yes, that is a good deal.

while the lens is not broken, it could provide for some creative output.

certainly a full fledged T/S lens would be better, but for 70 bucks, hot damn.

What a weird looking lens. Why does it bend to each side?

Think of it as a selective focus/tilt shift lens with a crappy element for soft-at-the-corners "artistic" effects.

Google "tilt/shift" for images.

By manipulating the plane of focus, you can creative the illusion of miniatures and other cool stuff.

I dont see it on that link. Only one offered by Ace for $149.95. Maybe its cause Im looking from outside the US.

Nah, means it sold out from Amazon directly. They only had a few in the Pentax mount, probably taken care of by Pentaxforums members. I had one in my cart, but couldn't justify the purchase.

Check out the Lensbaby club posts in this forum for examples of what is possible. It does not have to be soft focus - at least not in the sweet spot. Very simple lens that gives you lots of options creatively.

I don't think anybody on this thread said it was soft focus.
