So what's the govt doing with all that VAT collected?
Really seems like a lot of money from goods - and your income is also taxed on top of that too?
VAT is 25% in Sweden. Import customs add 3% on camera stuff. This applies to goods with value above ~$70. We also have one of the highest income tax.

We do get free medical care, schools etc. and in theory everyone is taken care of meaning we shouldn't have poor people, no home less etc. People really have to screw up, like using drugs, to lose the right to have a home and a basic amount of money every mount.

Back on topic, I'm very happy with my copy of the 16-50. But I bought a good one from a trusted forum member her at PF. And avoided the VAT

Quite a contrast to other societies in the world.
Those in the US... you seeing this?
Good services, but high tax - all of society benefits and few are left by the wayside.
Can't complain much being in Australia or the US...

I see what you mean (between the VAT, the social security and the taxes ). I thought of something different when mentioning Flare:

To be clear: this was NOT with the DA*16-50! An old M42 28mm 2.8 by Ifoco, no filter but no hood either.

...but also I dunno if my B&W is a MRC F-Pro, and a coating difference may make all the difference.
Sure does: no SMC coating on the lens used in my example.
Concerning the filter: F-Pro is marked on the side of the filter.
