Wow, how did you do that? Nevertheless, congratulations with your purchases. You won't be disappointed really.

Thanks :-) Some serious data mining and web searching and then I combed through several different ebay options. The 200mm I found on ebay.de and the 50mm on ebay.co.uk. This also means that I won't be paying any duty or VAT on them either --> savings of about 25% compared to buying from outside the EU. Happy, happy, happy :-)

The need for speed

Outstanding.

You will love the K 200/2.5 - the fastest 200mm Pentax ever made. I have a bid in on a 50/1.2 at the moment. There is no substitute for speed and lenses just don't get much faster than these two.

Good pickups Boucicaut and I hope you win your bid on the 50/1.2 Tom.

You will love the 50/1.2, it's an amazing lens.

I just received my K85/1.8 last night. What a beauty. I have started a roll of Delta100 at 1.8 so I will know more in a week or so.

Cheers,

Luc

I have now received both the 200mm f2.5 and the 50mm f1.2 and you can expect sample shots by next weekend! Thanks for all the comments.

I have got K24/2.8, K85/1.8 and K135/2.5 and they are all excellent lenses. I had a chance to get the K200/2.5 for a very good price but I passed on the opp and now regretting.

Another K lens to watch out, even though might not be as good as the others but a very good focal length on the digital bodies, is K55/1.8. Sharp enough (for me) wide open and very sharp by f2.8.

Ooooh this is a nice thread!

If you are getting in to K series glass be sure to pick up the 35mm 3.5. It's cheap and produces stunning results.

It's sister, the 28mm 3.5, should arrive at the beginning of this week, I can't wait!

Thanks for the tip! And yes, you should regret missing your chance on the 200mm, it seems an extremely nice lens.

Thanks for the tip. Eventually though, I think I'll want the 28mm f2.0 that has been mentioned in this thread. At some point I'll also go for the K 500mm f4.5 to complete a full spectrum of K-series (28mm, 50mm, 200mm and 500mm). I see that we have a pretty similar taste in film bodies too: I have and use both the LX and MX

Yes I am also dreaming of the K28/2, but with my current (and near future) economical situation (student) it's not very realistic. Same with the 15/3.5, I have been longing for that lens for several years but the prices are just too high.
