DA*300+Tamron 1.4 Pz-AF MC4 T.C.

I bought the tamron 1.4 Pz-AF MC4 T.C. brand new a couple of days ago, the i.q. looks very good to me but af hunts alot with DA*300, acceptuble with DA*50-135 and fast with DA 16-45 and 18-55.
Some first test shots

K10D DA*300+tamron 1.4 Pz-AF MC4 T.C. manual focus

K10D DA*300+tamron 1.4 Pz-AF MC4 T.C. auto focus

Interesting combination - and you got AF to work with the Tammy TC.
Good stuff.
Bokeh became a little harsh in that second photo but #1 came out beautifully.
Thanks for sharing.

I am sorry to hear.

Something from the instruction manual
"For best results, use the Tamron tele-converter with telephoto lenses ranging from 50mm to 135mm."
The upper limit of 135mm is interesting.

Just covering themselves.
The TC works fine with my Tamron 70-200 - locks focus as expected at 200mm.
The same TC hunts with the Sigma 70-200 at 180-200mm - seems Sigma's SDM finds it that much harder to lock focus.

My 1.4x works as well on DA300 and Tamron 70-200. Both great combo.
