It would be interesting to do something similar to see which Takumar primes are most common. I suspect it will be the 50s and 55s but how many of the wide angles and telephotos are there in use?

I have a 300mm as well as a Takumar Zoom. don't see too many of those around.

So RollsUp left off with 49 DA Primes. Then Thomascdk left off with 49 DA Primes, but he owns a DA 35 ltd. Methinks these numbers will not end up entirely accurate.

Sure looks like it. Lost a K prime after my post.

It's fine, it's just for general idea anyway, not a scientific report

This method is prone to mistakes since two people can post at the same time, and some people misunderstood that they're supposed to add to the previous and not feel inadequate about their one digit counts

As with all 35mm film aka FF cameras their will be many more lenses produced at the focal lengths of 28mm, 50/55mm and 135mm than all the other focal lengths.

Yeah good idea.

Pentax might be impressed with all the old lenses still in use, or maybe not.
They probably wished they weren’t built so well, so we would have to buy the new models instead.

That's one Pentax's main selling point though Playing so well with amazing old lenses... I always mention that whenever I recommend Pentax and my canonikon friends are always surprised when I say I have fifteen lenses

but it would be interesting to see Pentax's response to the overwhelming use of Takumar lenses (even over the DA lenses) by the internets largest Pentax forum. who cares what canikons think.

You can add the DA primes to the zooms and it's still less than the Tak primes. There's even more M, K, FA, and A primes in use than DA primes.
