Maybe, presented with these numbers, pentax cound be persuaded to add an aperture actuating mechanism for M42 auto lenses to their next DSLR body. Surely with their technical skills and expertise it wouldn't be difficult, and they could un-cripple the KAF mount whilst they were at it. I 'm sure that there would be a good demand for a body which would work properly with every k mount and M42 mount lens ever made. Sure the exposure modes would have to be limited but stop down metering would be easy.
