Which of these 2 cheap lenses?

I need a cheap short zoom lens for my K200D.
I have the option of getting either of these and wondered which is considered the better lens over the range 18 to 55? I know the Sigma is a 18 - 125, but how does it compare with the pentax up to 55?

Pentax DA 18 - 55 AL 3.5 - 5.6 OR Sigma 18-125 3.5 - 5.6

I own both and I'd go with the sigma without hesitation. It's a very nice lens and I would not call it cheap. Although I'm using it less these days because of other lens purchases (like longer zooms), I still use this as a walk around lens.

Oh, this might be helpful too. The build quality is very good on the sigma and although it has a zoom lock, I seldom experience lens creep on it. Compared to several Tamron zooms lens I own, the sigma is just better.
