Sigma 24-70 HSM version

I shot a few images with this lens this evening. I keep going back and forth, this zoom or primes. I like what i see, but the weight might be an issue.

nice color, sharpness, and bokeh.

Could you run a few more at 2.8? And did you do any special processing or was this jpeg out of the camera at default settings?

Congrats! You're the first one who has this. I'll probably get it next year for a wedding...

thanks bymy141, after reviewing the pics last night and playing with the lens more and more... its starting to grow on me even with the weight.

thanks kenyee, i used your links that you provided on a previous thread that i posted re: reviews on this lens. I'll take a several shots at 2.8 and post them up here or pm you with the images. those images are without pp, +1 sharpening and contrast in camera adjustments.

Those are fairly impressive then. Looks like you got a good copy
I was planning on trying to find someone in Boston w/ the FA*28-70 to do a comparison next year. I'm not sure if there's anyone in this forum in Toronto w/ the FA*28-70 that would be willing to do the same, but it'd be an interesting comparison to see how far Sigma has gotten with it...I suspect the Sigma will be sharper though. I'm fairly certain the Nikon 24-70 is sharper than the FA*.
