Strange blotch on lens

I bought my pentax-m 50/1.7 lens a few months back and it seems to be working alright, though I use my 28/2.8 and 135/2.8 a lot more. It has a strange blotch on it, though, and I wonder if anyone knows what it is. Might this have had an effect on my photos at all? It's barely visible from straight on, but very apparent from maybe 45 degrees, and seems to be behind the front glass piece of the lens.

Sorry friend, but you will need to put a better pic up so we can be more accurate with your mystery blotch.

Could be fungus, can't tell though.

I see what looks like a partial ring of something concentric about the front element. That's a weird one. It reminds me a bit of how my lenses can fog up with condensation during the summer when I step out of my cool house or car into the warm humid air. The fungus I've seen on lens elements has looked like black ink splotches but I guess it's possible. Whatever it is might not cause noticeable problems in your photos but it sure wouldn't help much.

ill echo J.Scott. we are going to need a better photo to be able to even attempt to identify the blotch.
