Very out of practice and in need of help!

Im afraid it is some years since i last delved into photography.
I have just purchased an ME Super Kit, Miranda flash, Jessop Power Winder Motor, 2X Teleconverter, 24mm, 70mm-210mm, and 35mm-70mm lense.

The problem I have is the black plastic mounting for the filters.
How do they work, am I missing some part that fixs it to the lense?

This is a very basic level question I know but can anybody help me on this, is there a site I can look at or maybe the original instructions?

thanks

Hi Nayforth, welcome to this forum! I think you will find it a helpfull (and somewhat odd, but friendly) community.

That said, I don't understand your problem, I'm afraid. Which filters do you mean? Please explain a bit more.

I don't understand the question.

Just a wild guess, please do a search on "Cokin filter" and tell us if that is your question about.

Edit to add:

You can find out how Cokin Systems works HERE.

The Cokin filters come with a filter holder with 2 (or 3?) slots. You put filters in the front slots, but the rear one houses a "plate" with threads on one side. That plate can be taken out and replaced with one with different filter size - so maybe it's not there in the first place?
