the smc-A 70~210mm is an outstanding lens. I paid 95 USD for one in no where near that good a condition. very good deal indeed.

congrats on that deals guuys.
My luckiest find was FA31ltd early series (with red pouch) brand new with box, warranty and all from renowned highstreet retailer. Price 342.5 GBP...
Second luccky find was mint F50/1.7 which I got in exchange for crappy Vivitar 28-70/3.5-4.5 for which I paid 20GBP.

Excuse my ignorance here, but would the flash work on modern DSLRs? I've seen similar flashes in pawn shops around town but just had visions or sparks and blank LCD screens.

as far as I know, yes. almost all Pentax flash units are of low enough voltage to be safe with DSLR's. its usually 3rd party flashes that pose a problem. so, although I cant say with absolute certainty thats its safe, I would say its very likely. of course you certainly wouldn't have PTTL capability, and unless you are using a istD you only have the option of full manual.

im not a strobist though, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
