I Love My Tammy 10-24

I was also considering this lens aside from the 10-20. I was quite tempted by the colors, image performance from 12-18 range, and the added 4mm advantage over the sigma's 20mm limit, and also it's half-a-speed faster than the Sigma. but the Sigma's great central sharpness performance at 10mm, better build and HSM makes it seem like a more better treat. I ended up getting a Pentax 12-24 though.

surely, I could work out the 2mm disadvantage and prepare myself of eliminating CA. let's see how the K-7's feature deals with CA coupled with out-of-camera PP. aside from CA, I think I got the better end of the deal as far as overall sharpness, contrast and resolution is concerned.

there's a 12-24mm on craigslist for 650... I was tempted but I know I want a 10mm, as I really want to take some all inclusive shots in the woods.. I'm really confused with all the reviews though, seems like the 10-20 sigma a better review lens.

if you are going to consider the HSM, Yes. but optically speaking, in reference to overall sharpness, contrast and colors, it is only 2nd to the Pentax/Tokina 12-24. besides, a 2mm edge or 10 degree advantage is not that much as compared to 4mm if you have a 16-45 or 16-50 lens. much so if you have the 18-55 kit lens.
