Any cheap 200mm fast cheap prime suggestions?

I am looking for good 200mm lens, F3.5 or faster.
The cheaper the better :-)
But good quality wide open is required, multicoating also required.
K mount is also better then M42.
Manual only, of course.
I still not sure as it may be better to go 85 or 135mm way plus good 2X teleconverter (my telemoreII works quite good with my old Focal zoom).
I also don't want something that weight a ton, as I have Focal zoom for muscle exercises aloready.
In fact I want to compare F stops speed with actual T stops. As my Focal zoom seems to be faster at F5.6 and F8 then Sigma, Tamron and Pentax zooms.

Several versions of the old Vivitar 200/3.5 may be worth a try.

Interesting, really cheap offering.
May be third in my Vivitar collection (I have 28-200mm and 28-90mm)
But I see different F3.5 lenses on ebay.
As I understand I must look for particular version, made by Komine (28xxx) ?
And M42 mount not very good, but not bad either.
Any info about weigh of this thing?

I want to pick all three.
Old M42 mount F3.5 versions are really cheap.
And bad thing about current lens business at is more about ripoff then about business :-)
Comparing inside quality of old Jena zoom to modern pricy plastic things I wanted to throw them out to window (in case of problem many new zooms use glued and pressed to plasic lense groups - completely unrepairable) :-)

It's a tiny bit slower than 3.5 but how about a M or A200 F4? Beautiful lenses.

There are several versions even of the Komine Vivitar - I don't think any are bad. They got smaller over time, the first ones (I have a monster T4 mount) are quite large, with a tripod collar. Being a contrarian, I also like some of the last/newest Vivitar manual focus lenses, whoever made them, judging based on my 135, thse should be light in weight and very good in performance.

The newer, including Komine, Vivitars are available in K mount.

Other brands to look for - Soligor, Hoya...Chinon/Makinon...

Vivitar 200/3.5 (Komine made, serial numbers 28xxxxxxxxx). This lens is available in both M42 and basic K-mount for less than $45 USD. Unfortunately, it is not available with the "A" contacts as far as I know. If you don't mind a slightly slower lens, the Pentax-M 200/4 is a good choice at less than $100 USD. Prevailing opinion is that the Viv is a tad better than the Pentax-M 200/4, though it is both larger and heavier. Both the Pentax and the Viv offer very good performance and are a great value.

(The Viv review is for the M42 version, but the K-mount version is the same lens.)

I would love to know why the OP wants F3.5 or faster but anyway,

There are several good vivitar 200MM lenses (mostly M42 that I have seen) at between F3 and F3.5)

There are also the Takumar 200mm F3.5

as well, the origonal vivitar series 1 70-210 F3.5 constant aperture is excellent at the longest focal length, just a little heavy

Yeah, I already become quite an expert in old Pentax compatible lenses :-)
But not in 200mm ones.
And I really don't want F4 lenses as my zoom is good at F4.
I'll be looking now for 200mm Vivitar and Soligor C/D lenses.
Unfortunately 200mm F3 Vivitar Series 1 seems to be very rare and pricey.
I want to use lens for some people street shooting and few small birds shooting (at not very large distances). Also hope to use it with 2X converter, as 400 F5.6 is also quite useful lens.
If anyone have scans of old Popular Photography tests it'll be really useful.
I fell in love with 28-90mm as I saw its advertisement in old magazine, I don't see similar serious things in current ones.

Reason is that I already have F3.5 long manual zoom and many AF zooms (I really think that too many :-) ). I really love this focal length. And F3.5 prime have less weight and is almost always faster then zoom.

You might be interested in this zoom currently on the marketplace:

This is the highly desirable "A" contact Komine version of the 70-210.

I really don't want one more zoom in this range as I am really happy with my Focal zoom.
And is you look at ebay carefully for some time, 70-210mm could be obtained at cheaper price. :-)

If anyone here have Vivitar F3.5 or Pentax F4 could you please provide links to fullsize jpeg images (with many little details and on distance, preferably) shoot wide open.
I want to experiment with Focus Magic as it looks as many slightly soft lenses could be greatly improved by deconvolution, but it is not solution for every lens :-(.
I want to try RawTherapee later.
