Finally a dream lens...

Ok, my first shots are not up to the level of those in the Cosina 55mm 1:1.2 club yet, but I wanted to post my first test shots with the Coco 1.2...

As many of you know I tend to spend as little as possible on old foreign glass. But I have always lusted after the cosina 1.2. Just looking at the shots in that darn Cosina Club thread made me drool. And thanks to Javier I finally have one.

A little PF wide open as I knew would happen, but what surprised me was how relatively sharp it is wide open. Bla Bla Bla - here are some shots all at F1.2

A couple of night shots thru some shop windows

And the Menace thru a window, plus some early evening Human Tornado shots

Thanks again Javier...

All wide open? I'm not doubting you, but the depth of field is really surprising. Fabulous shots.

Ehm, just how many US based DSLR lens manufacturers are there actually?

Wow, nice one. Great images here!

The rose sure shows off the trippy bokeh. The girl through the glass is spooky! Texture and mono tone that and you have a nice gothic.

Great pictures from your first session. The Helios, Jup, and other lenses are going to be VERY jealous of the time you are going to be spending with this one!

I spent about 5 minutes with ISO50's 1.2 and was very impressed with the lens. It is indeed sharp wide open. Build quality was a ton better than I expected as well. I think that Javier is going to regret his sale! (Yes, I know...he replaced it with a Pentax 1.2...I still think he may regret the sale...)

Thank you all for the nice welcome

to my new favorite 55 (this week)

It was actually storming here in Squarefield CA today. Rain / Lighting / Loud Thunder. I thought I was in Oklahoma...

Off to work for me for a four day stint of 12 -14 hour days... Been a work drought of late and this is a welcome 'storm' of work. Now I can actually pay for this lens.

As you can imagine there will be more to come from this one...

Again much appreciated for you comments..
