Sigma or Ritz going under?

Sigma Lenses - RitzCamera.com

check out ritzcamera.com, no more Sigma lenses, not a single one.
Nikon payed them not to carry them, or something else?

just a quick edit.
I don't imagine that you read, Ritz did go under recently, and their president bought them back in auction.
see here.

Sigma isn't going under, however they may have said NO to Ritz dealing with their products.
Sigma Being a privately owned company means that they're not going to take the same risks as other companies using other peoples money.

We have similar issues in the UK with Sigma and a very large photographic chain (Jessops). Recently all Sigma lenses are order only, none are kept in stock.

There are a lot of rumours that the retailer has dire financial problems and speculation that Sigma have refused credit to this particular company so forcing them to this position.

Looks very similar to me.

Considering Canikon lost millions to Ritz when they did their initial bankruptcy, this isn't a surprise...

ritzcamera.com and Ritz stores are two different things...

Doesn't matter and the 2 are linked. Sigma is just being smart. With economies in tough financial situations and places closing or going bankrupt, selling to a shoddy bunch like Ritz is high risk.

Nikon could not block Ritz from selling any brand, even the hint of that is completely illegal.

Ritz went bankrupt last year and stuck the camera world for millions. Whether or not the "new" Ritz survives is still a question. Just because you don't see a product on Ritz shelves doesn't mean that they are going out of business regardless of what a salesman may tell you. Sigma probably has them on COD. I'm sure they took took a pretty good loss in that deal. Sigma made many of the Quantaray labeled products (Ritz store brand).
