Someone called it "the poor man's DA35ltd" and not counting the FA31 replacement thread.

I would agree, except for 7mm and AF, it is very similar to the DA35 in both rendering, sharpness and bokeh, imho. I actually toyed with the idea of selling the DA35 now that it is expensive, but came to my senses and decided to keep both the 35 and the 28.

The FOV differnence is enough to keep both... I keep telling me.

No it isn't. The lens I and others rave about has the famous words close focus written on the lens ring.

Keep your eyes open. I got lucky and picked one up very cheap in the forum marketplace. Didn't need it, but couldn't pass it up based upon the raves. It really is a great lens, and performs well above its usual price range.
