Without a doubt, my favorite is the FA* 200/4 Macro! Then followed by the FA* 300/2.8 and the DA 12-24...
That seems to be pretty OK glass there, judging from the awesome images.

1. Voigtlander 125mm f2.5 APO Lanthar
2. Voigtlander 125mm f2.5 APO Lanthar
3. Voigtlander 125mm f2.5 APO Lanthar

(Runners up: FA77, FA31 but I also think the DA* 16-50 is very good and has a lot of good features too including weather sealing, close focus, SDM)

I only have two...

since switching to digital:

135 A* 1.8 ED - even better on the K20D, which I never thought possible.
300 A 4 ED - really handles well with the in-camera shake reduction.

My old standby -- the 20 4 -- is now a not-so-wide 30 on the K20D. Sigh. Using the kit lenses in that range at the moment, but shopping for something super wide. The Sigma 10-20 is VERY tempting...

One that's growing on me is the old K 50 1.2. Wicked what it does now that its a short tele, along with the in-camera shake reduction and 6400 ASA...who needs Tri-X?

My allegiances shift from day to day. I know I have too many lenses, but I have some affection for almost all of them. Right now:

3) FA 20-35/4 - Walk-around landscape/kids scenes/indoor shots with bounce flash.
2) K 35/2 -just got it, but love using it.
1) Tokina 90/2.5 macro - surprising that one lens could yield so much more resolution on my measly 6 MP sensor.

Cool thread and great photos everyone. You all have some excellent glass.

My favorites and most used are:

1. Sigma EX DG 28mm f/1.8 - Unbeatable for its versatility; macro and low light, FOV.
2. Sigma EX DG 180mm f/3.5 Macro - SHARP!! Love it for people and sports too.
3. Pentax FA 50mm f/1.4 - Classic, great lens. Nice for portraits.

I must say, I am really starting to like this Rokinon 85mm f/1.4.

I've got two of your favourite lenses.
They (1. & 3.) are my favourites too because they a) are the best in my selection and b) are very good on an absolute level as well.

Don't forget the nice handling of the Sigma 28/1.8. I like the focus clutch which allows me to fully embrace the lens even when I'm using AF.

Posts: 3,295's tough.... I seem to change my favorites from time to time..... I wish I had the 12-24, but until then....

The S-M-C Tak 85 1.8 / K85 1.8 (I think they have the same design....anyways, here is a mix from both.....hope it's OK to include them as one lens). These also happen to be my go to lens for the kids....easy to use to manual focus moving targets!

The preset Takumar 83 1.9...I bought it as a novelty but it is really nice to use...

And the k30 2.8....looking at the actual lens/glass it doesn't look like much, but it is nice to use....

Takumar 85 1.8

The K85 1.8

The Takumar 83 1.9

Finally the K30 2.8...

1) Voigtlander 90mm f3.5 SL - fantastic bokeh, colours and sharpness, a joy to handle, and looks great with its silver focusing ring on a black metal barrel. I use it for all my 'product' shots - i.e. lens I want to sell.

2) FA 31 mm f1.9 Ltd - no introductions required.

3) Tokyo Kogaku Corp. 135mm f3.5 - just got this, and am loving every min of using it, mainly due to the bokeh

Actually, the favourite lenses listed would be more meaningful if the posts included the other lenses that the user has, for comparison. Hence, these 3 fave lens are compared with the other 2 FA Ltds, K 50 / 1.2, FA*24 / 2, Voigtlanders 58/1.4, 75/2.5, 125/2.5 macro, 180 /4, sigma 24 - 70/2.8, and also previously, VivS1 135mm/2.3, FA 50/1.4.

The 3 fave lens are not by far the most expensive lens I have, nor the most well-known (with the exception of the FA 31) - but they are the ones I would reach out to most often, when I go out on a photo jaunt with no particular subject or theme to shot.
