Just wondering is there any way to get the AF light to come on the K7 or with the AF540 flash when using manual focus?

Would make life so much easier especially when using catch-in focus in LOW LOW lighting conditions.

Well, considering the AF assist light is exactly that, an Auto Focus assist light, I think you're out of luck.

But hey, I could be wrong.

In theory if you could short out a contact it could be done, wonder if anyones experimented.

Well, since the auto focus assist is just a little red pattern of light, I don't think it would help much. The AF540 does have a modeling light, which would be more what you are looking for, but it only stays on for one second. Do you think you could nail focus in one second? If so, that should work, but I think I would have trouble. Maybe with some practice it would work better than it seems, though
