DA*16-50 worth buying as replacement of DA18-55mm WR?

Hi all,

I have decided to try out the DA*16-50SDM after all.
I'll try and see how it works by myself, and decide which of these (the smaller/lighter kit lens, or the STAR performance) I like better.

I'll try them on my vacation next week.
If I like both, I'll keep them both

Now it is a bit of a personal choice but the combination for focal length and bright aperture makes this my favorite lens of all. It corresponds to how I see things and end up taking 80% or more of my pictures with the 16-50mm. The best to figure this out is to try but I will definitely vouch for the awesome quality of this particular lens.
