If something is being saved for "someday" and "someday" hasn't come within, say, a year...good bye.
If you're like my parents who can't get rid of anything because of "someday," then prepare a spot to store unused things...you're gonna need it. An addition to your house is preferred

I can probably get another one.
If I don't use it, there is someone who will.
If something was bad enough to sell in the first place, why would I long for its return? (Tamron 70-210 NON-SP, for example)
If it's something I "should have kept," chances are the $$$ in my bank account will be a salve to my wounds
