Shake reduction w/ 105mm lens ?

When using a manual focus 105mm lens (K- or screw- mount) do you think it would be better to use shake reduction and enter "100mm" or leave it off?

Hi kathyk,
I have an old 105mm takumar and set sr for 100mm, worked just fine. Also if I use a manual zoom I'll set sr for the wide end, example with my 70-210mm I'll set it for 70mm unless I have time to readjust for the exact focal length. I figure a little sr is better than none. I think if sr is set longer than what the lens is it will cause blur. Hope this helps.

I do the same thing as Tom. Althouth to tell the truth most of my photography is either pretty fast or on a tripod. I really don't know of the SR helps.

For manual zooms, I set it somewhere in the middle of the range, or nearer to the end of where I'll be shooting. I haven't noticed a big difference in effect.
