Price watch on the DA* 50-135mm

The only lens left for me to go to LBA therapy is the DA* 50-135mm. Back in the days, I use to see it hovering around $750 but I never had the intention of buying it. But now I need it. Yesterday I was shooting a few pictures for my friend's portfolio. It was at night and she was sitting on a narrow pillars on a body of water full of dirty animals. I manage to get my lighting set up around her but it was impossible for me to take a good shot of her because I had to be way across the water. The only lens in my repertoire that could reach her was the Pentax M 135mm but because of my bad eye sight, I couldn't get it to focus properly. I got pissed off and gave up. In fact I'm still pissed off now.

OK! I just went to Amazon and saw the DA* 50-135mm for $786 from Ritz Camera. That's the cheapest I have seen it in months. Should I wait for it to drop at a lower price? Should I wait? Is Ritz Camera a reputable seller? If I buy this lens now, I will have to put all my other lenses on the marketplace and be broke as a joke. Help a brother out.:ugh:

You could buy it used in the marketplace for $700 and the seller may even be close since he's a 'gulfer'.

If you cant focus the 135mm then you should sell it anyway, no? you also seem to have some overlap with the Tak 80-200 and 60-300 one of those could go.

Lol actually you are getting it for like $620. Comes with an $80 B+W UV filter.

Yeah I noticed that. I've been in contact with the person selling it. I definitely wanted to buy a new one with warranty to be safe with SDM failure but I might have to go with this one.
