Tamron SP 60mm F2 DI Macro ???

Has anyone heard anything about this lens being released in Pentax mount? There is a local camera store here that has it listed "on order". I called and spoke with someone and he did a little research and said he had gotten two answers. Yes and no as far as it being released in K mount.
I am going to keep my fingers crossed because this would be a super lens I think. I would love to see something a little faster than what we have available.
What do you think....?

I've been looking at that on Tamron's website lately - based on the SP 70-200mm, 90mm, and 400mm (adaptall-2) that I have from them, I'm pretty sure I'd be forced to buy this lens if they brought it out in the Pentax mount... Their lenses are just so damn good! I bet it ends up being a fantastic portrait lens.

It is hard to say with Tamron. They have had a 180mm macro for a long time and have never offered it in Pentax mount.

That damn local store got me all excited. I put in an order just in case but I won't hold my breath.
The product info page has Canon, Nikon amd Sony mounts to be released so I think these guys jumped the gun a little.

I would love it if we got this lens. I was on Tamron's site over the weekend and didn't see any info. There was a discussion about this a month or so ago here. Maybe your guys know something Tamron isn't talking about yet.

Since the lens appears to be designed to give the 90mm macro feel for APS-C cameras, and Pentax currently makes only APS-C digital SLRs, you'd think a Pentax version would be a no-brainer, but I see no indication of it on Tamron's site.

Tamron is releasing all of their newer design lens in Pentax mount(17-50mm, 70-200mm) so there is no reason why they won't release the 60mm in Pentax mount. The 180mm is an older design macro lens and this was before Tamron started making it in Pentax mount. It might be some time before we will see it in Pentax mount.

Tamron made other older mounts in Pentax mounts including various versions of the 90mm macro.

The picture in that link looks like the Nikon mount version. However, Amazon has one listed for Sony for $569 USD.

The Tamron website still lists only Canon, Nikon and Sony, thus Tamron is still giving Pentax the raised middle finger.

I did email Tamron and they said they "have no plans for a Pentax mount version of that lens" but who knows even if they did they may say that... I am still annoyed at Sigma for never releasing the 150mm macro in pentax mount, they even released it for olympus?!?!
