Not that I can see.
What I have noticed is that there's apparently no way to decouple the focus ring from the motor. If I spin it by hand it's much harder to spin than my other lenses, and the motor is dragged along with the ring. Not sure if this is healthy for it...

I think that the MZ60 can be sold for 20/30USD easily, but it is not the best SLR Pentax made ( probably one of the worst from my opinion, the MZ50 was a much better one )
Yeah, I searched eBay and saw that most were selling for very little money. It's not even worth to sell it by itself; I'll keep it as a deal-improver for when I'll want to sell lenses.

Henrik, what was wrong with TeKaDe offer, which somebody already posted? TeKaDe - Deutschlands und Österreichs Pentax Shop Nr. 1 - smc FA 35mm F2 AL pen_2/35. Is it the language or what? I doubt you'll find much cheaper than this 399 € anywhere in Europe.

Huh? Doesnt the 50mm work the same way? They dont have quick-shift like the DA lenses do...

No, the 50mm is easily focusable by hand, the motor isn't dragged by the ring.
Edit: my mistake - both FA lenses drag the motor normally, but decouple the ring when you select manual focus. The DA lens, in contrast, is always decoupled if you move the ring yourself.

I remember when I was looking for my 50mm f1.4 none of the stores I went to even had it down on their list. I ended up buying it over this forum and getting it sent over from the US. I've seen it online but can't seem to find it in any shops.

I think FA35/2 is no longer in production. FA50/1.4 is still in production, but its price got boosted to help the sale of DA*55/1.4.

Ahhhh, it all makes sense now...

Well Pentax if you want to stay in the game with those prices we demand a D-FA 50/1.7 (Based on the old design) for 140$!

The US Pentax webstore lists both lenses the FA 50/1.4 and the 35/2 as out of stock but delivery within 10 days. Don't know what that means, but at least they don't flag the 35 as obsolete.

[langtitle=no]Check in Norway[/langtitle]

The norwegian distributer seems to have the lens in stock and on "sale".

In general i think fast lenses are beginning to be phased out due to the recent sensor/high iso improvements. the necessity for fast lenses is diminishing as cameras can now bump up to iso 12800 with very low noise

There are other reasons for fast lenses. Furthermore I like to determine when I change my iso or use a big aperture; I don't want that to be determined for me.

As noted by Ben_Edict, both lenses are available in North America through the Pentax Web store. They are also listed as current product by Pentax Japan and available in brick & mortar stores in Asia. Why distribution in the North America is restricted is anybody's guess.
