it seems that the 50mm FA f/:1.4 and 35mm FA f/:2 are very rared this time, do you think they are really discontinued or the new price is the answer ?
facts pro lens are discontinued
Mentionned on B&H for the 35mm
The lens disappeared on the K7 french brochure
The 35mmDA and the 55mmDA are meant to replace them
Pentax seems to plan all their lenses to be WR except the limited ones and the DAL.
facts con
they are still avaible on the yodobashi website and only few stock on the japan pentax shop
Samsung still sells the Samsung rebadged 35mm f/:2
Anybody has a clue ?
They can both still be ordered from most photo-retailers in Sweden. Either from stock or by order from Pentax.
If Pentax still make any FA lenses? I don't have the slightest idea. They may have been selling from stock for years. A pile of lenses somewhere in Japan. Does it matter? I ordered a FA35 only 2-3 months ago (from a company that had forgot to rise the price in their lists
). No problem. I even got a A series 2x converter new from stock through a Swedish retailer that ordered it from Pentax Japan. Obiously they still have those in stock as well. But you must understand that it is only natural that they prefere to sell you a DA35ltd instead of a FA35 or a DA*55/1.4 instead of a DA50, becuase it increase their profit.
This sort of rumor threads "usch I can't find this lens on my favorit retailer is Pentax cancelling it" are useless. I believe that they are out of FA35 and FA50's the day I see a press-release from Pentax on it.
Can you clarify what "pro lenses" you mean and what a "DAL" lens is?
