I just bought one for $260, so you're ahead of me! The only times I've really been burned by eBay is in trying to get a bargain, and this falls in that category... we'll see.

Good luck! And please post back here when you receive the shipment.

BTW, made a quick visit to your gallary. Nice collection; I particularly like your macro work. If it's a good copy, I'm sure the lens will shine for you.

Thanks David! I will definitely let y'all know how the lens turns out - if we've all bought lemons, I suspect there will be quite a few mad posters here. Fingers crossed!

Ok, call me a fan of the verbose. What question did you ask that received no response? I ask because of my worry that this was the question *I* should have asked but didn't.

Thanks.

You mean a question like "is that dust or fungus that needs cleaned out?" :BrownBag:

30 lemons X 30 negative feed back scores.

I bought one from him a few weeks ago. It was attached to a K1000 and listed for $100 (Buy it Now). I think it was before he knew the value/demand.

Anyway, that was almost two weeks ago, October 3rd, and I still haven't received the package. In fact, after an initial six days went by I inquired and he said that he had "accidentally sent it to the wrong person" and would send it on as soon as he got it back. Said he got it back this past Saturday and would mail it on Tuesday and provide tracking, etc., but I received nothing. I sent another email yesterday morning and no response....

We'll see. At least I feel confident I'll get my money back via PayPal if necessary.

Apparently he sold at least 4 with a K1000 for $100 but there is no sign of any feed back for them.

My gut feeling is that I won't get my $100 K1000 one, but those who bid a "Best Offer" down from $500 will. It's a good sign that some have been receiving tracking info.

I have a feeling that he realized he had under priced those 4 before sending them out which explains the lag between those 4 and the current batch. Also, the serial # wasn't visible in those auctions nor was it mentioned in the text.

Well, at least there is a whole bunch of people who know each other who are buying from the same seller at the same time.

That should help with any paypal dispute,

I also noted the serial number just in case he sent another one, since on the pics it seemed to be in decent condition.

I'm doing my best to stay chill, but man, I wish I had something better to go on than the USPS tracking number! I am having it delivered to my office; I figure there is a chance I will receive it today, but if not, will have to wait 'til Monday.

I should have brought my camera to work, in case it comes in...

There has never been an AF f1.2 50mm by Pentax.
