What does "need" have to do with it?[/QUOTE]
definetly...

My first thought was of Jim King,

do I need a collection like his? no
would I like a collection like his? definetly
can I afford a collection like his? probably not (my wife just looked over my shoulder and said sh&t no! - we have different views of need
does he need an 'A' 1200mm - probably.

but I have
pentax 20-35mm,
tamron 28-75mm,
samsung / pentax 50-200,
bigma (my last sigma!)
and a dfa 100 hopefully on its way.

next is either 10-17 fishy (I love fisheye) or the pentax 12-24 then the other and then the 43mm limited and then I will have to decide on a 50-135/70-200/60-250 and then the 77mm limited and then the ....

My list is:
10-17mm fisheye----on the way
18-55 kit lens---to be replaced by DA*16-50
M 50 1.4
Vivitar series 1 90mm/2.5 ---maybe will be replaced by DFA 100mm macro, just because sometimes I feel to use the 1:1 adapter is not convinient
FA 80-320mm--to be replaced by DA* 60-250
Tokina 400mm/5.6

So,,just 6, for now..

I only need 1 -

a 10mm->500mm f2 (an f1.4 would do fine also) , weight ? 1 kilo give or take some grams, size - not longer than 25mm, no extending when zooming, no rotation when zooming

that would do fine, but untill then ...

I still need a 11-20mm, a 28mm (f2.8) and a 100-300m f4 zoom and I'll be happy for ... ?
