My FA-50mm f/1.4 just fell apart in my hands

Just wanted to say that I had an FA 50/1.4 - not mine, even - fall apart in my hands as well this weekend. A fellow photographer and I went to a roller derby, and when she noticed that her K200D with the 50/1.4 on it wouldn't focus to infinity, I asked her to let me try the lens on my camera. I never even got to put it on my camera - as she handed it to me, I ended up with the glass and she ended up with the plastic mount.

I think she's going to spring for a new, non-FA 50/1.4 lens

I have 3 80-320 zooms, 1 MIJ, 1 MIT, and 1 AIV . The MIT is the sharpest of the three, the MIJ has loud grinding noise when focus while the the MIT and AIV do not ..... Well, go figure !
