I'm confused, does this lens have an aperture ring or not?
The reason i'm concerned is that i'm planning on buying an old-school Pentax 35mm SLR [like the MX or ME Super], and i would like to be able to use this lens on both my K7 and the film SLR i plan on buying.
Now, the lens would need to have an aperture ring for me to use it properly on the old Film SLR, would it not?
I've spotted 2 versions of this lenses around, one that looks older and has an aperture ring, and one that looks more newer and refined without an aperture ring.
WITH aperture ring:
Sigma - Lenses
WITHOUT:
Amazon.com: Sigma 28mm f/1.8 EX DG Aspherical Macro Large Aperture Wide Angle Lens for Pentax and Samsung SLR Cameras: Camera & Photo
I want to purchase it off Amazon but am afraid i'll be stuck with a lens that i'll only be able to use wide open on the Film SLR
Someone help!
EDIT: and NO, Amazon is not using the 'wrong' product image, if you click the image for a better view it indeed says 28mm F/1.8 EX DG on the lens.
