Takumar-F vs. Pentax-F (non SMC)

According to the spec sheets and images I've found it seems that the non SMC F series lenses are identical to the Takumar-F line. Are there any differences between the two lines other than the lens cap and the label?

That depends on the lens, sometimes the non smc lens is just the same optical design as the smc version.
But there are also non smc lenses without a smc equivalent.

I think you have answered my question, but just to verify:

the the takumar-f 70-200 is the same as the pentax-f 70-200, etc. Is this correct?

As far as I know, the (non SMC) pentax-F series and the takumar-f series are identical.
