Ultra-Wide Choices?

I was fairly impressed by my brother's sigma 10-20 (sony mount, he has the a700). it's as wide as you can go, rectaliniearly, and does a decent job.

To my knowledge, no one has anything wider than 14mm for film except for the sigma 12-24 zoom, unless you look at fisheyes. Nikon may have had a 13mm, but I can't remember.

You have two 14mm choices- the Tamron AF 14mm f/2.8 and DA 14 f/2.8. I own the DA 14 and love it, and I've toyed around with the Tamron on film. I would advise getting the DA 14 unless you want to be able to use it on film.

If you want wider than 14mm, my advice would be to get the sigma 10-20 and if the image quality bothers you, get the Pentax 12-24.
