First shots with Pentax A 100mm F2.8 Macro

My lens arrived from KEH today and I have to say, it is one beautiful lens. It was listed as exc+ and some of you know how KEH is about their ratings. It looks practically new. Has the original caps also. It is much lighter than the Sigma 70 and Lester Dine 105 I just sold. I only had it for a few minutes and these are the first shots I came off with.
I have to say I am very impressed. Working with poor availible light and on-board flash.

I had to bring out my pet.

Give me a little time to work with lens before you get too critical.

Don't like your pet very much but the shots are OK.
#1's ambient light is better balanced than the flashed ones.

Thanks guys, like I said first impressions are very good. Focusing is very smooth I thought and it is quite light. I honestly believe this is the sharpest macro lens I have use to date. I will progably add the Fa 50 to the list down the line but for now I am good.

OrenMc,do you rate it sharper than the Viv 105/2.5??
Nice pics, btw:-)
I'd like to hear your thoughts comparing this lens to the Viv, which I love btw. It's the only non Pentax lens I normally carry in my bag.

Eaglerapids, I may have been a little premature in making that statement. Like I said, I only have taken a couple shots with it. But to me when I did the sharpness just jumped out so thats why I made that comment.
Give me a few days to work with it and I will go back through my photos and try to find some from the Viv 105. I have some recent shots with the lester dine 105 which may be easier to find.
I want to add a disclaimer also. I am not a tech geek so testing of the resolution and contrast is not going to happen. All answers will be courtesy of aging eyes and strictly my opinion.
Give me a little time and I will put up some full res photos to my flickr and you can look for yourself if that works better for you.

Thanks

oh, no rush OrenMc and I'm not looking for a detailed test, just your thoughts on the two since you've had both:-).
