Promaster vs Tamron 18-200mm

Ok.. I have a tamron 18-200mm and a promaster 18-200mm. Seem to be the same lens. Even the EXIF data shows the same info and says the promaster is a tamron.

What raises my question is the promaster seems to be a little sharper then the tamron.

Any thoughts? No I dont need both, one is a gift. Just curious about it..

My understanding is the Promaster is Tamron. That is what one dealer told me about Promaster, and they sell the brand. jim
