Price Check Tokina 400mm F5.6?

Hello to all,

I am curious to what is an acceptable price for a used Tokina 400mm F5.6???

I want it for Rocky Mountain National Park. It is MF so it should be good for everything except birding. Is it compatible with the K10D??

Thanks to all!!!

It is compatible with the K10D and it is a good lens.
There are two versions, the better one is the SD version.
Here in Gemany the price is about 35-50 Euro for the normal version and about 80 Euro for the SD glas version, which is comparatively rar.
The SD version has a red ring on the barrel.

The Tokina AT-X SD version (latest with the tripod collar) gets around $400 US on ebay. I tracked the lens for a little while and I saw 2 go around this price then I eventually bought mine for that as well.

Its a fine lens, does show some CA in high contrast areas but thats minor to me. It is lightweight and sharp. I'm really happy I got it, especially with the lack of decent 400mm prims out there.

I have a bunch of example photos taken with this lens in the "Post your photos" forum if your interested.

Yup that is the newest AF version.

CA is Chromatic Aberrations or Purple Fringing.
