Is it any good? I can buy one for cheap on craigslist, but I wouldn't like to spend $35 for an absolute junk... Thank you.

It's hard to build a bad 28mm, 50mm or 135mm lens. It's also hard to build an outstanding one. Chances are that this Osawa is just fine, but nothing more.

Whenever I want to use a 135mm prime, I have a Cosina 135mm f/2.8 that gets the job done. It cost me more or less what you're quoting.

Thank you. I had seen a couple of very nice (albeit small) pics taken with Osawa 135mm. Very good bokeh--but in the end I opted for a Sears 135mm 2.8 in PK mount. An ebayer had it in mint condition, and I heard good things about it.

Today I got the Sears 135mm 2.8 I had bought off ebay. It's a new old lens! I'm the happy owner of a pristine looking, unused 135mm manual prime--old stock, probably. A beauty, and it's pretty sharp too. It shows some CA in daylight (does the Macro version as well?), but nothing I can't deal with in PP. Here are some test shots taken today, hand held, all at 2.8. The first is converted directly from raw; the other three are very lightly PP-ed (WB, mainly); the last is a ~60% crop.
