For the benefit of the OP...

I did a little measuring and calculating using my Helios 44M and came up with the following best case magnification numbers for the DCR-150 (+4.8 diopter) with the Helios at its close focus point:
Working distance = 0.151m (5.9")
Reproduction ratio at minimum focus = 1:2.3 (0.44x)
(Based on a measured 9mm extension at the minimum focus distance of 0.55m)

Not quite in the true macro range even in the best case

The Hoya +10 yielded:
Working distance = 0.084m (3.3")
Reproduction ratio at minimum focus = 1:1.3 (0.79x)
Better, but the working distance really bites.

P.S. I got the +4.8 diopter number from the Raynox Web site.

BTW...I won't be insulted if anyone repeats the calculations and comes up with a different set of numbers. I am a novice with this sort of thing.
